A collection of paintings that
accompany the verses of a traditional Tibetan Buddhist
prayer of the same name.
As exhibited at Tibet House, US
at NYC.

The exhibition of the Tara paintings opened at Smith
College then proceeded to Tibet House in NYC during
the spring of 2003. Though all of the paintings are
currently in private collections, the images are
available as prints. The portfolio contains prints
of all twenty-one images plus a beautiful translation
of the prayer by Glenn Mullin.
Tara is
the premier savior Goddess of Tibet and is considered
to be the embodiment of all of the Buddha's activities.
Though there are two main versions of Tara in Tibetan
Buddhism, White Tara and Green Tara, the images of
the Twenty-one Tara Prayer are in honor of Green
